It´s officially April – which in this household will be dedicated to our health. My goal is to shed those six pounds that I´m still carrying around since giving birth to our daughter eight months ago.
I have a thing for rice! – But it took a long time coming. You see – my parents (whom I love and admire) weren´t the greatest chefs on the planet (they´ve improved a lot over the years). Back in the days there were a few taboos at my childhood home: For one we weren´t allowed to use salt.
Since I technically grow bananas I thought it would be highly appropriate to share this delicious banana dessert. It combines so many of my favorite flavors: banana, cinnamon, espresso and lemon!

I remember the first time I heard of Asian fish sauce. I thought it was some sort of yummy gravy – and couldn’t believe my luck. See – I love gravy more than anything – literally – well – almost! So imagine my surprise when the whole house stank like a – well I´m not going to say it – but it stank bad.

I love chocolate! It´s as simple as that and this dessert is just the perfect dessert for the chocoholic that I am. The great thing about it is that it is really easy to make and when you pour the chocolate fudge in the middle … it´s pure heaven.

A fresh Orange Vinaigrette that goes well with salads and cous cous. Will keep for up to 5 days in an airtight container in a refrigerator.
Ginger & Miso Vinaigrette ½ cup / 120 ml rice wine vinegar ¼ cup / 60 ml water ¼ cup / 60 ml red miso ¼ cup / 60 ml green onions, chopped 2 tbs sugar 2 tbs ginger, peeled and grated 2 tbs soy sauce 4 tsp canola oil 2 tsp dark sesame oil [...]
This Pico de Gallo is just perfect with tortilla chips or tacos!
Mix well together and when ready, spoon about 2/3 cup couscous mixture into each lettuce leave.
This simple salsa goes well with just about anything!
