Airplane food it one of the greater challenges a chef faces in his professional life. That being said, the Chef (and I – as his personal adviser) are in the midst of creating a new menu for Icelandair. The challenge is huge one. Icelandair is known for their excellent service and quality and the ones responsible for the previous menu was the National Culinary Team – no less. So – the challenge is great and the Chef (and consequently I – since I love to meddle) have thought about little else for a good while now. I like to think of it as the best of both worlds – the Chef as the culinary expert – and me as the ever hungry consumer. I think it works great and so far everything is looking (and tasting) great.
Volli (aka the Chef) is quite amazing when he gets into creative mode and earlier this morning I snapped this picture of a sketch.
In the meanwhile I´m contemplating which recipe to post nest… should it be a delicious BBQ sauce, a healthy salad or a yummy steak? Choices, choices, choices …
